D-Box Proposal

Background:
Mei Fei just told me last week, that maybe we should start a hymn interest group, eventhough they may be busy. So for those who are busy and can't come, they can come. At the same time, Chea Choon is practising his guitar these days..
So *pom*! I think we should just start a small small songs/guitar session.

Our hidden agenda (Objective):
1. For people who are interested in music to come together to sing/play instruments
2. Create fellowship
3. Train people who can lead song sessions

"Yea, I know, so what do we really do there?"
1. Sing a few songs in each session (Buddhist hymns, Chinese Pop and English Pop)
2.
Have fun! This is gonna be a very informal and relaxed session, you can just come and go anytime =)
3. Learn guitar
4. Learn the good way of singing (eg using headvoice), depend on the need of members =p

"Okay okay, I'm convinced, so how now?"
Thursdays, 7.00pm - 8.00pm (Dinner 6.30pm)
YIH Workarea / PGP Music Room (has organ)
Bring any instruments, lyrics with chord accompaniments.
Can make announcement on what you want to sing first on the BS forum ^_^
(so if you all and the MC pass this idea, we'll just set up a new place in the forum)

ATTN:
*We are not competing with other BS activities.
This is like a private gathering, for anyone who have time and interest. Since we have a few friends who are already interested, why not we put a notice and invite anyone who is interested to come.
So, we will not let this burden the 29th MC.
*Non-BS members also can come

Goal for Semester 2 AY 0708
1. Must have fun everytime
2.
Gather a group of people who are interested in music
3. Must train at least 1 junior who can lead this session for next academic year
4. Keep it small & simple, as long as there's 2 person in the session, it's already a success
[since we're starting, low target --> low burn out --> less stress --> more fun --> more energy]
5. Members must at learn something, eg more songs, singing/guitar skills

Some long-term goals
1. Form a band!
2. Song composing
3. Create a sub-group in NUS for singing spiritual songs, whether it is Buddhist, Christian or pop
- For attracting non-Buddhists
- Religious harmony =p

So guys... what do you all think?
