Waiting for you...i'm waiting for you...

Here is the report for the last meeting which we had at YIH canteen:

(1) For the database, we will first target the handover files which we had from our previous MC experience. We will stop the publicity through weekly email and emails to seniors. Only Bein Siong replied us and sent us CEP files. So, we do our parts first before approach the people who we think can help us in setting up the database.

(2) For the library system, the MC actually approached us to help. We hope to help them fix it after final exams.

(3) For Dharma camp, we discussed it briefly. We hope to organise Dharma Camp for the juniors in the future by helping to plan the programmes. Execution will still be the responsibilities of the MC.

(4) We have started the music interest group. Sea Ming managed to come out with a R&B Ehipassiko song. Cheerios!!!

(5) As seniors, we should progressed ourselves to become speakers. We could even organise public speaking course for our members and alumni in the future.

(6) This DharmaRoundTable(DRT) meeting is to help us in our personal growth. Besides, it will act as a support group. We can invite seniors to join our monthly meetings by meeting up for meals, this may help to shorten the generation gap. We have to support each other by bringing a group to attend activities, like welfare or fellowship.

(7) We have identified people that can contribute in this fellowship, like Si Ling, Wenyan and Sohan.

Any mistakes, please correct me. (i knew it's hard to correct, because so long already, oops...)

NAKED!

Hey guys,

Happy Chinese New Year!

How's everything? How's the Ang Bao business?

I'm one week behind time for thesis + assignments + tests because i had been mysteriously cursed with the CNY spell.. which apparently put me in inertia. :P

Anyway, I wonder if anyone read Naked i by Campus Crusade? If you haven't, you must be hiding in a hole somewhere because all lectures and tutorials and walkways are flooded with the campus crusaders' magazine!

How did you find the magazine? I actually found it quite an impressive piece of work. Though I am not agreeable to everything's that's written in there, I thought that CC did a great job for the mag because

1. the topic ties in with the upcoming V-day
2. the content, if you realise, is a good steer from the usual preachy mode. It has more relevant stuffs which may be able to attract non-christians. People would not be turned off by it and go "oh, not again". For eg, to discuss about why pre marital sex may not be the best activity for dating couples, they actually discussed about how sex works psychologically, blah blah (my brain is abit dead, so please read their article on "are u sexually satisfied?")
3. attaractive cover and name for the magazine
4. real life experiences

What do u think of the mag?

Any learning points for us? (things tt we can pick up or avoid)

Other reflections?

I know no one is really reading this blog (yes, i'm not a regular reader too) but please throw in ur views about the magazine if u have any. Better still, if u suddenly have a weird/interesting/creative dhammaduta idea popping out after readng the mag.

i'm super brain dead now. 3 hrs past my orh orh time!

oh yes, the BAW panels r cool! :D have u chked them out?
